EOS Focus Groups

The EOS Focus Groups are a platform for the communication between experts from science and industry with the aim to:

help members to connect with their peers
establish new contacts within their area of interest
make the working results available to the EOS Photonics21 representatives to be considered for recommendations to the European Commission

Optics simulation and design with emphasis on electromagnetic modeling
Imaging
Applying optical imaging in several fields that can and should learn from each other
Micro-Optics and Information Optics

Identify new trends in the field and contribute to a greater presence and visibility and optical metrology and sensors on the european level
Photonic Atoms
Design, simulation, fabrication, measurement, characterization, and testing of photonic atoms based applications, devices, and systems
Quality Management
Fabrication and testing of micro, medium, and large optics ranging from unique one-of-a-kind items to mass production
Terahertz Radiation
Foster collaboration between European researchers working with THz radiation

Mission statement

Alongside the Annual Meeting six EOS Focus Groups held their kick-off meetings. The EOS Focus Groups will provide a platform for the communication between experts from science and industry.

Aims of the Focus Groups are:

helping the EOS to provide the members with specific information about their areas of interest
helping all members to easier connect with their peers and to establish new contacts within their area of interest
making the working results available to the EOS Photonics21 representatives to be considered for recommendations to the European Commission

Join a Focus Group

Every EOS member can join one or more focus groups. Please follow these steps to join a focus group:

Log in to the EOS member area
Go to Focus Groups in the top navigation
Click on the title of the Focus Group
Click on "Request membership" in the block on the right
Once the Focus Group Chair has accepted your application, you will be notified by email.
